Fort Worth Alliance Airport Fort Worth Alliance Airport is the world’s first 100 percent industrial airport. The airport is the anchor for the 17,000-acre AllianceTexas development, home to more than 140 major companies. Designed for air cargo, AFW is one of the fastest growing airports in North America, handling 250,479 metric tons of cargo in 2006. This is a 14 percent increase over 2005.
